This was reported by Alexander Komissarov, head of the Federal Railway Transport Certification Register (FRCR), in a column for the Gudok newspaper. "This was achieved by significantly reducing the timeframe for reviewing submitted documentation, preparing contracts, organizing tests, expert analysis of protocols and technical documentation, and issuing confirmation of the certificate of conformity," he notes.

FRCR also works continuously with manufacturers to accurately determine the impact of changes made to the design of rolling stock and its components. Where possible, the scope of testing required to confirm conformity is minimized, and remote testing is used.

FRCR celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. To date, the register has issued over 17,500 certificates.
